I have been a member of Lakshya Shooting Club for past 5 years. The training imparted by its chief coach Mrs. Suma Shirur is world class. Her coaching and guidance has motivated me to become what I am, not just as a shooter but as a person too. Along with Coach Ramesh, Lakshya Shooting Club has got me into Khelo India, member of Indian Junior shooting team besides medal in national and international matches. The work ethic and discipline taught by my coaches and the sport has had a positive impact on my academics as well. Being the last year of my B. Sc. Biotechnology Degree, the coaches have been quite co-operative for my studies. Whether it is adjusting my training time or even shifting ma’am’s session timing to my convenience whenever possible on exam days.
The environment in the Lakshya Shooting Club is extremely positive and professional. The holistic approach initiated by Suma ma’am where experts like psychologist, physiotherapists, nutritionist, etc help me achieve my goals, has had a positive impact on not just my shooting but physical and mental well-being as well. I feel fortunate to be part of this vibrant and fast growing club.
